Skvare has been named to Inc. Magazine’s annual Best Workplaces list. Featured in the May/June 2023 issue, which hits newsstands on May 16, 2023. Prominently featured on Inc.com, the list is the result of a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture.
After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 591 honorees this year. Each company that was nominated took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, which included topics such as management effectiveness, employee perks, fostering employee growth, and overall company culture. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine overall score and ranking.
“We’re a professional services company. Our end product and delivery is only as good as the people that we recruit, retain, and support,” says Gena Dellett, Skvare’s Chief Operations Officer. “We specialize in open source software development, strategy, hosting, and support. The quality of our work is largely dependent on the skillset, dedication, commitment, and drive of our individual team members. Beyond the individual, it’s also dependent on how well we work together and communicate with each other and the clients we serve. The team hears me talk all the time about healthy tension. For me that means cultivating an atmosphere where everyone can bring their - sometimes competing - ideas to the table and we figure out together the best path forward.”
“Being named to Best Workplaces is an honor that only a small fraction of companies have been able to claim,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Proving to the world that you’re a magnet for talent and have a culture that keeps teams engaged, productive, and proud to come to work is a truly remarkable achievement.”
Founded in 2008, Skvare is a professional services company with the mission of “Helping Others Help Others.” Skvare does that by providing strategy consultation, IT system development, system hosting, and site maintenance for nonprofits, membership associations, educational organizations, and government agencies. The team is comprised of open-source software champions, committed to making the tools they and their clients use better. The team’s focus on exceptional communication with a mindset that prioritizes adaptability has fostered trust and long-term relationships.
